No new variant of virus recorded: Health ministry

Kathmandu, December 22
The government has said that no new coronavirus strain that has been circulating in the neighboring nations was discovered in Nepal. In a news release, Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, the joint spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that Nepal had not been infected with the new coronavirus variant, BF7.
The BF7 variant was not detected in the gene sequencing of the samples taken throughout a month from different regions of the nation. Testing 48 samples at the National Public Health Laboratory yielded just the omicron variety.
Following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus strain in several countries, the ministry declared it would step up vigilance and work with the affected nations. However, joint spokesperson Adhikari advised everyone to be informed about the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus type.
In light of the spread of the novel coronavirus strain in other nations, he urged everyone to wear a mask, keep their distance, and wash their hands often.
